When the musics over

Guess what? It's friday! That mean's the weekend, yaaay. My family and I are driving 2 hours to St. Paul for a family reunion tomorrow morning, I'm excited to see a bunch of people I havn't seen in a long time. I'm probably going to be exhausted by the end of it though, haha. Family has a good way of doing that huh? Especially when my energy level still isn't as high as usual

Another set of pictures from my brother and I going for a walk, these were yesterdays it was beautiful out, windy, but nice and warm! These walks are definitely my favorite part of the day, we end up listening to music, singing along, and dancing. It's ridiculous and wonderful. I'm so glad my brother and I get along, it's been so great to have him around throughout this.

I have had this dress for a while now, and I still love it. It has such a great shape and the material is pretty lightweight. A shirtdress is such a great easy piece, I think I need a few more! I am already started to make a lust list for my back to school shopping. Have I mentioned how excited I am to go back to University in a month?! Anyways....I just got this belt and I like the pattern on it, the colours are subtle but it looks interesting. We had so much fun taking these pictures, I took a bunch of my brother being ridiculous but hes blogshy :)

Born Romantics

Good Morning!! I hope this wednesday "hump day" is finding everyone well, we're that much closer to the weekend. We're going to a family reunion this weekend, I'm getting kind of excited to see all my family who I havn't seen in a long time. Hopefully the weather is good for it, we have to drive a couple hours out of town to get there.
As I mentioned last time I FINALLY got a haircut on friday and am so happy with it. The orange colour was driving me nuts and it was so dry that I needed something done. I wanted to try a bright red but because of all the anesthetic from surgery, chances are it would mess with the colour. So we went for a really dark, violet-red, and I really like it. Hair the colour of red wine? Yes please

So this outfit is what I wore on monday hanging out and just going for a long walk. My mom and I walked around Whyte ave on sunday where I found this skirt at American Apparel, I loove it. Have I mentioned that I'm obsessed with stripes lately? I plan on wearing this skirt stripes on stripes. For this I decided to wear my ruffled black dress as a top, it's a little romantic and with the flare of the skirt I thought it fit perfectly. I added my new studded belt, and some blush flats. & my new snake ring from the farmers market!

Surviving Summer

Hey lovelies, this is actually from last week before my (muuch needed) haircut! Me and my brother were wandering around town, went for lunch at a Cafe. It was a really good day actually, one of the better days weather wise.

I didn't want to wear just a plain dress even though it was warm out. This dress is really comfortable and I am obsessed with citrusy colours at the moment. I basically just bought this because I loved the bright orange colour so much. I decided to wear my short sleeved plaid button up tied on top of it just for a bit of layering. We all know I love layering and this was a good way to do it for summer without dying from heat!

Hey there! Since my younger brother is out of school and I am not working for about 2 weeks still, so I am making him take all my pictures for me. He's actually really good about it! What a good brother. Sorry for my squinty face, so bright out
These pictures are from earlier in the week when it was nice and hot! I have a much harder time dressing for summer than fall. I love layering, and scarfs and sweaters. BUT I am not complaining because hot weather makes me really very happy. So come hot weather I grab a light dress, a cute top or skirt and go. Summer dressing for me feels like it should be carefree and simple.
This dress is so perfect for hot weather, so lightweight, loose fitting, and light coloured. And again, who doesn't love polka dots?! It was a great dress for walking around enjoying the sunshine in.

Feelin' This

Good morning dears! How are you all doing today? I'm doing pretty good, going for lot's of long walks with my brother and going for coffee and tea. Which is good because sitting around at home drives me crazy, I like being outside, and seeing friends. I am getting out a lot more which makes me happy

Sunday was an absolutely gorgeous day, finally nice and hot out! My friend and I went out for vietnamese food, then had some iced tea in the park, walked around and laughed a lot. It was really great actually. I was going to wear just my romper because it was warm enough, but it was in need of ironing haha. So I put my favorite skirt on top of it and I ended up really liking the combination. It was nice and light for the hot day.
