You know if I wasn't laid up on the couch right now I would be trying to rock out a red and white look right? Damn! But a very Happy Canada Day today to all my fellow Canadians! I really do love this country, it's gorgeous, we have excellent health care (trust me), theres lovelt people, and always somewhere to explore :)
So these are some photos I got my little brother to take of me a few weeks ago pre-op. I bought this dress a little while ago and it's really really beautiful. All the flowers on it are embroidered and that kind of detailing to me is so lovely. And it fit's quite well, I love the thin straps and flared skirt, it's definitely a good picnic dress! I think that's how I rate how much I love my summer dresses "Would it look good whilst on a picnic? Okay we'll take it" haha.
This was the first time I wore it, I believe, so I just kept everything really simple. When I have a piece that's new/that I really love the details on, I want it to be the center of focus. So I threw on a really thin cardigan because it was breezy, some rings, and sandals and was off for an afternoon of running errands and then relaxing

ps. I am healing sooo well. I'm really good at it by now I think, because when my family takes me for a walk I can already make it around the ENTIRE block! (for reference, that was a 2 1/2 week milestone with the surgery last summer, not a 1 1/2 week milestone)

outfit: Dress-dots, cardigan-thrifted(label says topshop), belt&necklace-thrifted, sandals-army&navy
